Project Life International is proud to partner with Ready for Reading in Rwanda and support its work at the Rwinkwavu Library. Through this partnership, Project Life entrusted Ready for Reading with overseeing library programs at children’s centers in hospitals throughout Rwanda, as well as coordinating training for librarians.
By supporting local leadership and investing in librarian training, Project Life helps ensure that these centers have the resources, skills, and guidance needed to create welcoming spaces where children can discover the joy of reading. The hospital children’s centers bring books and learning opportunities to children who might otherwise have limited access to them.
Together, Project Life International and Ready for Reading are building a sustainable network of librarians and reading programs that nurtures literacy, encourages learning, and brings the comfort and imagination of books to children across Rwanda.
Librarian workshops at the Ready For Reading library in Rwinkwavu, Rwanda provides comprehensive training on effective library management and strategies for engaging children. The programs have covered topics ranging from selecting age-appropriate books and relevant themes to designing interactive story-times and educational games.
